Cookie declaration
Every site needs a page listing its cookies, grouped by purpose, with provider and lifetime. Shortbread's scanner drafts it; you edit it in the Cookies tab; Shortbread renders it on your policy page.
Placing it
Anywhere on your cookie or privacy policy page:
<div id="ShortbreadDeclaration"></div>
Shortbread fills it on page load with headings per category and a table per group. Style it with your own CSS: the sections have class shortbread-decl.
If your page still has Cookiebot's <script id="CookieDeclaration" …> placeholder, Shortbread renders its table right after it.
Keeping it current
Shortbread rescans every installed site weekly and emails you when a new cookie appears. New finds are appended; your edits are never overwritten. Free sites can rescan from the dashboard any time.
How the scanner works
It fetches your public pages, matches scripts and embeds against a signature database (Google Analytics, Meta, HubSpot, Hotjar, Clarity, LinkedIn, TikTok, Intercom, Klaviyo, Stripe, YouTube, and about fifty others), and lists the cookies those tools set. It does not run JavaScript, so a tool loaded only by another tag may be missed. Add it by hand in the Cookies tab.
